The Meeting of our Lord in the Temple - 02/02/22

One of the "12 Great Feasts of the Year”, The Meeting of Our Lord in The Temple is celebrated on the 40^th day after the Nativity of the Lord. A special feature fo this day is that we bless candles for usage in church and for home.

The Meeting of our Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ is described in the third Gospel (Luke 2:22-40). Forty days after His birth the Divine Child was brought to the Temple at Jerusalem to be presented to the Lord.
