Reformed Church of Bound Brook Soup Kitchen - 09/19/18
Attached are the pictures from the Soup Kitchen at The Reformed Church of South Bound Brook. It was really a great opportunity for Parishioners of Ss Peter and Paul to reach out to our community in a meaningful way. The kids that participated did a wonderful job and increased their undertanding of our Christian responsibility to care for those who are in need. The adult members of our parish also contributed so generously - with their time to cook and prepare food on Tuesday, serving and cleaning on Wednesday and for the many donations of food and money. We served 51 plates this evening and sent home 30 take home containers of food that will feed these individuals for at least the next couple of days. There was a broad cross section of guests at the dinner this evening and they all greatly appreciated the good food, warmth and fellowship that they received. On top of all of this, we had $251 left over that we were able to donate to their food pantry and soup kitchen! They will certainly put those funds to good use to continue in their mission. We are so very blessed to have had the chance to serve these individuals at The Reformed Church of Bound Brook and we hope to do so again in the future.
